A kitten i found in a temple in samut sakhon, thailand.
She was starving and shivering as she limped towards my legs in distress. Her meek mews clearly indicating her frail state of mind and body. i decided to name her poor thing. poor thing followed me around, probably thinking my shoe was her mom due to the colour similarity it shared her. Abandoned by her mother, she had no means of survival in her mere say 1-2 months of living. My baby cat was brought to me at 4 months of age and even then i still had to teach her how to eat solid food. but with poor thing, as i laid the soften bread in front of her hoping she would be able to eat it, she devoured it with so much enthusiasm that i had to slow her down for fear that she may choke on the food. finishing off 2 buns, she seemed satisfied for the moment. That was all i could do. she was not mine to rescue and nurse back to health. the only hope is that the temple guardians would take her under their wings and give her sanctuary. as my friends and i walked away from her, perspiration from the heat slid down our faces, mimicking the tears that flowed inwardly for a creature we can only pray for the best.
